One-Of-A-Kind Needlepoint
I love working with clients to tweak existing designs or create something completely unique. In fact, almost a third of all my orders have some sort of customization. Whether you want to tweak an existing design or dream up something completely new, I’m here to help.
The custom design process is very collaborative. I’ll work closely with you to learn more about the person that you’re stitching for — favorite hobbies, colors, flowers, pets :) I’ll share my ideas and plan with you, and send through sketches along the way for your approval. I want you to be totally in love with your custom piece before you even start stitching.

For custom projects, the fee charged is based on the illustration time required. To swap the colors to reflect your holiday decor is typically a +$50 fee.

Most semi-custom designs get finalized within a week. Fully custom designs often take a little bit longer — since we’re starting from scratch, there’s more illustration and more rounds of reviews. Fully custom designs generally take two weeks. After you approve the final design, it takes a week or two to make and ship your project out.
A semi-custom design: If you love the existing Spider Spun designs, but want to add a few personalized elements, this is what I would recommend. I’ve changed flying reindeer to antlered dachshunds, changed color palettes, and everything in between. Some of my favorite projects have been working with clients to design “mantles” — blending family heirloom stockings with new, custom designs.
Fully custom design: If you’re looking for something that is absolutely one-of-a-kind, I would love to work with you to design a fully custom stocking. We’ll work together from the beginning to pick the perfect colors and illustrations that will perfectly represent the lucky person that you are stitching for. You can even pick from a range of different lettering styles for the name plate.
